Grade 1 Week of October 11th to 22nd

These past 2 weeks we have continued working on our Halloween theme and read the book Big Pumpkin By Erica Silverman

We also learned the following songs:

Hello, Hello, Trick or Treat

Knock, Knock Trick or treat who are you?

Grade 2 Week of October 11th to 22nd

These past two weeks we have continued with our Halloween/ Autumn theme. We read the following books:

** Evaluation: Wednesday October27 on body parts **

 These past 2 weeks we have started a new unit on body parts. We are learning the vocabulary words like: head, legs, foot, toes, arms, eyes etc. and we also looked at the exeptions like 1 foot/2 feet or 1 tooth/ 2 teeth etc. 

Now we are working on adjectives and its placement in a sentence. Adjectives in English are always placed before the noun. 

Ex: He has long arms. 

She has straight hair.

November is fast approching and a new monthly challenge page will be coming out. Please try to complete the October challenges by the end of this week. The students have had it in their agenda since the beginning of October.

Grade 3 Week of September 27th to October 7th

These past weeks we had our evaluations on school objects and we are now going to start working on a new unit: Body Parts.  

We played games on our school objects like memory game, a boardgame and a I spy game. All this to practice our school objects words and review the learned vocabulary related to class.

I sent in your child's agenda monthly challenges to practice English at home. Your kids can read, watch TV, work on the tongue twisters etc. Please encourage your children to work on this page and try to complete the monthly challenges. Thank you for your support.

Grade 2 week of September 27th to Ocotber 7th

 These past few weeks we have continued working on behaviours in class and slowly introducing our Halloween theme. We will be seeing words like: Happy Halloween, Autumn, Scarecrow, bat, monster, etc.

We read the book:

Pete the Cat Loves His White Shoes

and I want a Monster By Elise Gravel

and There was an Old Lady who Swallowed some Leaves

Knock Knock Trick or Treat

 The past two weeks we continued our work on colours and introduced our Halloween theme that we will be seeing for the next couple of weeks. We will see words like: Happy Halloween, Autumn, trick-or-treat, vampire, witch, bat etc.
