Grade 1
This week, we read the story "Sneezy the Snowman" by Maureen Wright. The story is about a snowman that is always cold and sneezes. So his friends try to find a solution for him as to no longer be cold. We then did a sequencing page where we had to place the images of the story in the correct order of the story. It is a great little book and the kids loved it!
Grade 2
This week we read the story Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell. In the story, a little boy asks the zoo for an animal. The zoo send him animals but not the right one... until finally the zoo sent him a ...
Ask your children about it! We then worked on a page to ask for a pet at home. The kids are working hard.
Grade 3
We are working on a new unit on clothes. We will work on clothes and placing the determiner and adjective in the correct order. We are also going to play a game of bingo this week to practice the clothes vocabulary. Your child should have their book in their bag to finish their bingo page.

week of January 13th to 17th
Grade 1
This week we learned the song Five little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed by Super Simple Songs. We sang it a couple times this week and then we did the work on a workpage.

Grade 2
This week we are working with the words bear and very. We read the book The Very Hungry Bear by Nick Bland. The book is about a polar bear losing his home because it is melting and the brown bear helping him find a home to stay in. The students then had a sequencing activity to do after reading the story. They enjoyed it!
Grade 3
This week we are finishing up our final unit on Super Powers and starting our new unit on clothing. They are working hard and doing very well!

Week of January 6th to 10th 2020
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Grade 1
This week we started our weather unit with the song I'm a little Snowman by Super Simple Songs. We then read a story called The Biggest, Best Snowman by Margery Cuyler. After this we started completing a wordsearch with snow related words. It was an easy and relax activity for our return back to school and work!

Grade 2
We read the story The Mitten by Jan Brett. The story is about a little boy who wanted a pair of white mittens. His grandma did not think it was a good idea because he can lose them easily on the snow (white on white). But he insisted and got a pair of white mittens. On his first walk with his new mittens, he lost one... Ask your kids for the rest of the story!
Grade 3
This week we are starting back to where we left off before our last week of school. We were working on a written text. The students are going to complete the text in the next week.
