This week we started a new unit on clothing. We learned a lot of new vocabulary words. We also learned how to write a simple noun group like : a yellow scarf or blue jeans or a red hat. We reviewed the determiners a\an and the adjective placement (always before a noun: a blue hat not a hat blue). The students have to study as they will be having tests coming up and reading comprehensions and a written text at the end of the unit. Happy studying.

This week we also read (like the grade 1s) the story Sneezy the Snowman By Maureen Wright. Poor Sneezy is a cold snowman who tries to find different ways to warm up but they are not good ideas. We worked on words like Hot and Cold for our activity page. Then the kids had to make their activity page where the kids had to to put images of different things in the correct category: Hot or Cold. They did really well. Some classes I saw twice this week so we also played a snowman dice game where the kids had to roll numbers and draw the different parts of a snowman. The first one to complete their snowman won! It was a great week!
